Hi looking for information on my cousin, Robert S Ross, last known address I have for him is Fyvie Castle Cottage, Fyvie Aberdeenshire, this was in 1959, any information about him or his family would be gratefully received, thanks

Have you tried GenesReunited or Facebook?

What year was he born, and where?
On ScotlandsPeople, 1920-1959, the only possible one is a Thomas Robert S Ross born in 1951 in Forres, Morayshire.

Do you mean that he left Fyvie Castle Cottage in 1959/60, or is it just that you haven't been in touch since then? I assume you've tried contacting the present occupant of Fyvie Castle Cottage, in case they know anything, even though 1959 was so long ago?

192.com lists an Andrew S Ross in Fyvie in 2013, a Doreen Ross in 2006, and a Margaret A Ross in 2003-9
Try contacting Andrew Ross - maybe a son or grandson? Aged 40-44, per 192.com

Have not been in touch since then, I believe he was born in Inverurie, son of James Robert Ross

There were only two Robert Rosses born in Inverurie, 1910-59, if indeed he was born there.

This one:
Birth:
1923 ROSS THOMAS ROBERT M INVERURIE /ABERDEEN 204/00 0061

Death:
1991 ROSS THOMAS ROBERT Not Permissible(ie - mms) M 67 INVERURIE /ABERDEENSHIRE 319/00 0106

And this one:
Birth:
1910 ROSS ROBERT M INVERURIE /ABERDEEN 204/00 0093

Death??
1986 ROSS ROBERT Not Permissible M 76 INVERURIE /ABERDEENSHIRE 319/00 0149

You would have to buy the birth cert to ascertain father's name - but it may well be that your cousin was not born in Inverurie, in which case neither of these is correct.
The initial S doesn't appear for either of them.

ScotlandsPeople doesn't allow a search using father's name.
If you know his mother's maiden surname, you could search with that - buy credits on ScotlandsPeople.
