If he died in 1871 you should find his Death Cert on Scotlands People which will confirm his parents and his wife as well as a witness who maybe a useful link. |

hello argyllgran , i have the original 1861 census & james gordon is 36yrsold, i think ancestry have read it wrong & is Gordon not Garden ,& born inverury Abdeenshire, I keep looking at the william Gordon ms for gordon family, & i do have a copy of william & janet nee sangster, having a son james born at the porter lodge manor,william was a coachman, & this james Gordon was born 12th feb & bap 28th 1829, so i keep looking at this only james born ,so if i can find him in 1841 , then i might know ,if he is mine, otherwise none the wiser ,after all these years, would be lovely if any of willam Gordon & janet sangsters descendants , out there, might know ,what happened to james , |
