When I said I do not know what happened to them ,I meant I hit a brick wall. found births of Edward Williams 1905, Violet 1906 Nipissing Ontario then they all vanish . Not sure if the Edward Williams in Audrain New Mexico USA is the same Edward.
The 1923 marriage cert of Fanny And Frederick----Fanny has put herself as 10 yrs younger for sure. She was born 1871 Newport, Wales. father John David Metcalfe.Mother Mary Ellen Watkins----That's correct. I can not find the birth of Fredrick Williams 1875 Leicestershire England, father Frederick Williams/ mother Emma Watson. NO idea where Fanny went and why she did not marry for the first time till 1923. I do know she had my grandfather 1904 17th June, Newcastle, Frederick Metcalfe , then gave him away, ? because she had 2 other children and ? where was father Frederick Williams.

Very curious! He does seem to have died in 1873 but how could he mention a daughter in his will who wasn't born until 1881?

Something not right about that probate. It would seem from that that John David died about 7 years before Fanny Eleanor's birth?

She gave her age as 42 when she married in 1923.

So, according to mgnv's find, Frederick Williams was born 1875, Leicestershire, parents Frederick Williams & Emma Watson and Fanny was born 1881, Yorkshire, parents John David Metcalf & Mary Ellen Watkins.

Wonder why they waited until 1923 to get married when they were having children 1904/5/6?

Barry, there is a town in New York State named Mexico so I presume other states have a town with that name.

Your tree on Ancestry says that Frederick Williams married Fanny Eleanor Metcalfe 13 Sep. 1923 but their children were born 1904, 1905 and 1906.

There are trees on Ancestry for this family which show that Edward died 31 March 1990 in Mexico ,Audrain, Missouri USA (which seems strange - is Mexico a town in Missouri ?)
Also the tree records his parents marriage as 13 Sept 1923 Vancouver !!
