The original image says the whole family were born in the Orkney Islands. Religion Presbyterian.

Have you actually bought a copy of that 1838 marriage certificate to check it's the right couple? I'm wondering why 2 people born Orkney Islands would have went to West Derby to get married and then returned to the Orkneys to have their children.

Hi all, I am looking for anyone who has David Houston b. c 10/1811 and
m. Mary Ann Slater on their tree. David and Mary were married c March 1838 in West Derby, England and moved to Australia in 1849 aboard the 'Courier' with 3 daughters (and 1 son born aboard the ship) Any help would be GREATLY appreciated as my family are at a loss . Thank you
