Hello, could someone take a look at the 1851 census for Robert HARBRON born 1827/1828 at Bishopton, Co Durham. On Durham records online index he is in Darlington district and his surname is HARBRON. On freecen for 1861 he is at 3 Albert Terrace, Stockton, Co Durham (miller) with his wife Elizabeth born 1836 but the surname is HARBURN and on FMY for 1881 he is at 20 Donald Street, Stockton still a miller but surname of HORBRON. Thank you. |

I am now looking for Elizabeth Harbron on the 1841 census. Family search has her at Bishopton, Co Durham aged 44. I think she may be Robert's mother. I would like to know who she is living with. Thank you. |

What leads you to think that Elizabeth was Robert's mother? |

You could try browsing through the unindexed images for Sedgefield on FamilySearch to see if Robert's baptism is on there. |

Hello Reggie, I sent for the Will of Elizabeth Etherington who died 18 June 1877, 6 days after her husband William Etherington. In it she leaves what she has to her son Robert Harbron and his wife Elizabeth Harbron. Elizabeth's maiden name was Thompson but I can't find a marriage for Harbron/Thompson or Harbron/Etherington. It doesn't help that Harbron has various spellings. Thanks. |

If Robert knew his father's name, it should be on his marriage cert |

Thanks Reggie, I discounted that marriage because I couldn't think why they would have got married in Teesdale. Silly really because it's not that far away. |

It looks very much as though there was no marriage to Harbron............. |
