A Robert Pilgrim is recorded in the 1841 census age 7 living with Thomas Breese at Hill Cottage Mundesley there are no further records until 1871 when he is recored in Rotherham Yorkshire. Is he the Robert Pilgrim born 21st May 1834 parents John and Ann ?

The writing on the original image of the 1861 isn't too clear so not surprised FMP mistranscribed the name

Looking at the cenuses, it looks as though Robert married Elizabeth Draycott (see below)

It might be worth sending for the marriage certificate to check if Robert lists his father's name

Gins, sorry if I've missed something, but how did you work out that Robert Pilgrim married Elizabeth Draycott and not Elizabeth Riches?

I checked out Elizabeth on the censuses (prior to the marriage) and there was no Elizabeth Riches born in Rotherham, matching her age but there is an Elizabeth Draycott
