Hi,
I have hit a bit of a brick wall finding my great great great great great grandparents family history. i have looked on Genes and Ancestry and cannot seem to locate any of the information that I am looking for about their occupation or other children.

My great great great great great grandfather was John Walker born in Durham in 1766, he married Mary Lowes born in Cleveland in 1763. They married in Darlington on 20/10/1789. They had at least one child James Walker ( my great great great great grandfather) born in 1797.

I would be really grateful if anyone could point me in the direction of finding out about their other offspring and occupation.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

they sometimes have records that other sites don't have. It's pay to view but can be worthwhile.

Take a look on www.freereg.org.uk, there are various children born with father John Walker in Darlington (though there appears to be more than one John - one is a blacksmith and one a gunsmith).

if so then there are others born also Staindrop.
