I'm trying to establish the date and place of birth of my grandfather named below
A relative has told me he was born Cavan Ireland and his birth year is 1852

On the 1881 census 27 Thurlow Street. Liverpool John Maguire. Shoemaker is born 1843 Ireland.

I'm sorry for including Francis he died young.

Is that the only John Thomas as It says John Thomas was born Preston.
My Maguire children were born Liverpool.

So he says he IS born Cavan and his birth year is 1851 as my relative said just a year out on the birth

I really appreciate your help, I can't thank you enough

Hopefully I can trace his family a bit in Cavan though I only have his fathers name and occupation so far

I see Mary now says she is born Cumberland

I wonder where she was really born! Her fathers name was Michael his occupation is listed as Horse Dealer on her marriage.
I don't have the certificate my cousin has it

Mary C was my grandmother but I never knew her or any family members until a few years ago I was able to contact the cousin mentioned.

I think the 1891 original says Cumberland it is quite small writing.

It must be terrible sometimes trying to decipher the writing.
