ShelleyRose-
Can you help me with James Clark, b. 2 Aug 1813, Rerrick, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland, d. 28 Dec 1868 near Jutland Denmark, while captain of the schooner Ellen?
I am trying to find a photo, and his record of service (where he was) from 1860 to his death in 1868. I think he came to New York harbour during that time, in which he brought his son James, Jr., to the U.S. with him. I have found his records up to the time he was issued his Mates/Master's Certificate (70.529) in 1851, but cannot access the later records, which I believe are in the London Archives. Any insight would be most appreciated in tracking his whereabouts from 1860-1868!

Kind regards,

Dorothy Langton
