Lawrence's first wife was called Ada so he is not the one living in Pritchard Street, Blackburn. He is the Lawrence Marsden shown above in the 1920 census, living with Henrietta who became his second wife, and in the passenger arrival found by Margee.

I already know a lot about Lawrence but was told today by a family member about his alleged return to the UK to see his wife and son. This is why I asked for an Incoming Passengers look-up. Having now seen the Draft Registration Card for him found by Lynne, I am beginning to think that he may have visited his wife and children in Blackburn during WW1 army service.

"My" Lawrence was born in 1878 so he isn't either of those you have found. I have been told that having emigrated in 1909, he returned to England to persuade his wife and son to go back to the USA with him but they refused. He subsequently remarried in the USA. It is said that he divorced his first wife before re-marrying, but she did not marry again until after Lawrence's death so it is more than likely there was no divorce.
