Thank you Marie for the Ancestry look-up.

I'm trying to find out about him because he's on the 51 census with my GGGrandparents Thomas and Mary Allen in Leicester, it was a second marriage for both of them and her name on the marriage cert was Grogan and her Father's name was John Smith so I'm trying to find out whether or not he's her son. When John married he stated his Father's name was Matthew Grogan occ. carpenter. To complicate matters, John was on the 41 census in Leics. living with a James Broughton and his wife and later John alternated between being known as Grogan and Broughton on the census's and death records. I've been trying to find out about him for some time so any help would be much appreciated.
Regards
Kath
