This is the only other James McGuigan In Cavan in 1901 (both shown as not married) but he is a protestant:

We knew she put Marshall on her marriage cert. but don't know why.We don't know the mother's name-perhaps Marshall? No Scottish connection as far as we know.james McGuigan,catholic,had laura by a protestant girl,we think.Her family came from Belturbet,co.Cavan. the father seems to have brought her to Plymouth at an early age and left her with the Start family in Plymouth .

I'd be grateful if someone could help find this girl in the above censuses.In 1911 she was an adopted daughter of Montague Start in Wolverhampton.States she was born London 1886.(18-1-1886).She married Albert Speed in Wolverhamton 3-10-1914.Her father was James McGuigan from County Cavan,Ireland.Mother's name not known.She was a dressmaker in 1911.
