Im looking to trace my fathers family and have come to a bit of a standstill really on my grandfathers side.
My dad was Anthony Healy born in 1957, 2 sisters Linda and Frances and a brother John Patrick.
Their father Michael F Healy 1919 - 1972.
If anyone has any info from that side of the family would be extremely greatful.
Thanks for reading

Use freebmd to find info

http://www.freebmd.org.uk/

Once you trace Michael's birth.........you'll be able to look for the marriage of his parents..............as the MMN is on the index after 1911

TIP

When you ask for help - location info is useful, to say the least

EDIT

Healy is an Irish name, so we shouldn't actually assume you'll find anything on freebmd.

Is this the man's marriage?

Births of Anthony and full siblings confirm the accuracy of the data I've posted

Nicola

Do yourself a favour and buy the marriage cert for Michael and Constance

You need the marriage certificate for details of Michael's father.

Michael may not have been born in England or Wales.

Hello Nicola and welcome to the Community boards. :-)

You could check to see if anyone on here has your family in their tree. Simply click on Search above and then on Search all member trees and fill in details. If you find a connection, you can contact the tree owner. Good luck.

On Rootsireland.ie , a Michael Francis Healy was born in 1919 in Co. Leitrim.

Please note: I don't know if this is the right person.
To view further details you'll have to register with the site, and buy credits.

But as others have said already, you need the marriage cert to find out his father's name. Then you'll be able to check if the birth in Ireland is the right one.

If it turns out to be the right birth, then you can search for his father and possibly other relatives here (Irish census 1901 & 1911):

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/

as well as continuing your search on Rootsireland.
