Mike - strange thing , I cannot find Marion's birth either. Fair to assume she was born in Devon if she married there. Next step to check the marriage cert to make sure it is Walter Gilbey Moss she married.

I would dearly love to know if anyone has connections to Walter Gilbey MOSS.

Born 13 June 1904 in Willesden , Middlesex , the son of James Percy MOSS and Emma GILBEY.
He joined the City of London Police 08 October 1925 , given Warrant Number 8602 and Collar Number 26. He was posted to A Division.

Sometime between 1928-1930 he married Marion Catherine ( Maiden name not known ). I cannot find details of any marriage registered or of any subsequent children.

Walter died in the City of London Police Hospital 02 June 1937.


If any one has connections to either the Moss or Gilbey families , I would appreciate any details of marriage , children and cause of death etc.

Walter is the Gt Nephew of my Gt Grandmother Mary Moss b1840 in Gt Stambridge , Essex.
