I wonder if someone could take a look at the probate on Ancestry for the above died Sept Q 1934 in the district of Sedgefield, County Durham. I believe he died in Ferryhill which comes under the Sedgefield reg district. Thank you.

sorry can't see him,

there is a John Bell who lived at 54 Darlington Road Ferryhill who died 21st May
admin to widow Elizabeth bell effects £479 5s 8d

Thank you all, I don't think the above John's probate is mine as his wife was called Sarah. Yes, Kath that is my Bells. I thought there may have been a will as Sarah's father left her some property. :-)

Under the 1882 married womans property act, she didn't have to sign it over to her husband. His Estate wouldn't include her's.

If she died before him, the value could have been spent, or dispersed to other people under the terms of her own Will
