Hi All-Still looking for the birth of Silvanus Turvey c early 1700s. I have found a possible descendant-Silvanus Turvey born London c 1830. He was in the Merchant Navy from 1853-1857- is it possible for someone to look up his Naval records for me please

Thankyou Anncardiff & Reggie- the other person who has Sylvanus in his tree got it from me (he's related).
I found loads of Turveys in Whitchapel dating back to the 1500s but not any Sylvanus's-the only place I found a Sylvanus as I said was in the Dudley area.
I will have a go on the forebears site & fivenine-didn't know about those so thank you

Hello Turvey researchers. My 4 x gt grandmother Mary Turvey was born in Whitechapel in 1753 the daughter of Sylvanus Turvey & Mary Salt who married in 1750 in Whitechapel. Mary married Joseph Brown at St Michael's Cornhill.
The name Sylvanus Turvey appears around the Dudley area but I haven't found the birth of my Sylvanus. I have no other info so if someone knows of this particular line I would be most interested.
