Is there any thread connected to this man? An enigma, no less. Born 1812 New York, then emigrated to Ireland and christened there. Educated Belfast Institute and Glasgow Uni. Ordained as Presbyterian minister Kingstown Ireland 1840. Married 1847 to Amy Cole, sons William Neville 1851 and John KN. I can find no records to any of the above. He crops up in the 1891 and 1901 census, as a Naval Chaplain and same retired, in Plymouth. He died in Plymouth 1902.

I saw this post on Rev'd John Armstrong. He is my husband's 2xgreat grandfather. > William Neville Armstrong > Francis Hugh Armstrong > William Neville Armstrong > Michael Shane Armstrong. I would be interested to know more info you may have on his education at the Belfast Institute & Glasgow Uni.
