There is someone else who has a William Stanley c1826 Tutbury on his Genes tree. William, wife and family are on the 1851.

Going by William's baptism, there's a chance, I think it a reasonable chance, he might be the son of Thomas Standley/Stanley baptised 1796, and therefore might be a nephew of Edward.

Parents Thomas and Mary also had Thomas baptised 19 August 1834, and Joseph baptised 3 January 1830. Another son John was baptised 1828, but buried in 1829.

Many thanks - I have left messages for both people with a Stanley from Tutbury in their tree. If there is a link sure will be great - I have the original will document and probate - would so like them to go to an actual descendant.

The person who had Edward? Stanley 1802 Tutbury on their Genes tree, also has Ann Houlbrook 1768 Tutbury on their tree.

Thomas Standley had married Ann Houlbrook, which could account for farmer Thomas Holbrook of Chapel House, Tutbury, farmer, being one of the executors of the will for Edward that rootgather posted the probate of, earlier.. The other being William Shipton, also a farmer, of Scropton.

I am not a relative of Edwards. But I do have a couple of documents relating to him which I think would be great for a family member. They came to me via an uncle who was married to my dad's sister. I would like to provide them to an appropriate family researcher.

Edward had a farm in Tutbury, Staffs. He had at least two brothers William and John, I suspect that he had no children as most of his estate was left to a nephew.

I have done a few quick census searches but not located him. Did locate his brother William and family, William born 1797.
