Hello Chris, who were his parents and where was he on the 1871?

I am looking for john mason he was born in 1864 lived in little Sutton.
he is on the 1871 census but he not on anymore .i was
told that he was going on ahead to Australia and then onto usa. and the rest of the family
would go later on what lists to do you need to look up. for someone who goes over seas.. maybe just a family story but its hard trying
to find him.
