Unfortunately identical twins do not "run" in families. It is Fraternal Twins (non-identical) where the gene may carry forward.

Hi Cynthia.

Just an update...i have bought my dad's birth certificate, ivy 's marriage certificate and nellie's birth certificate.
So in the mean time while i wait for them to come, i have been searching through the archives, newspapers, database's etc...
Where do i start when it comes to working out which florence is my one ? My dad was illegitimate as far as i know, so i thought searching the papers round about the times of dad's birth..maybe i can spot a link between him and ivy.
Also, identical twins run in my grandmother's family, ivy gave birth to identical twin girls at the age of 38. Also my dad fathered identical twin boys in 1955..is there anyway i can search using information like this.....

Many thanks
lynda

If Nellie was a sister to Florence, she married Frank R Fagg in 1939. Nellie died in 1942

It looks like the couple had a son in 1941 and he married in 1961. The couple are on the electoral roll (Kent) for 2013

You could try and make contact to check if he knows anything about Florence.

I have been researching my paternal ancesters for quite a while, I have a problem and need some advice on how to get the information that I need. I'm looking for the family of Florence Luckhurst....estimated birth 1890, unsure of place. It's not a lot to go on. This is what I know so far:

Peter Luckhurst (my father) - 14 May 1932 - Kingston, kent - mother's maiden name Luckhurst.
Peter's mother is Ivy Florence Luckhurst, she was born in 1913, thanet. mother's maiden name luckhurst. (after ordering IVY'S birth certificate), I found out that Ivy's mother's name is Florence luckhurst, address at time of registration The bungalow, Church Street, Acol, Thanet. No father's name, the only thing that was unusual on certificate was where address is handwritten, directly underneath address are two intials R.H or maybe S. Can anyone help??
I have searched on the 1901 census and 1911 census for Florence luckhurst..but there are too many to count..i don't know what else to do

So this is what I know...how do I find Florence's family, and maybe ivy's father...?? a longshot I know because she was illegitimate.
Many thanks
Lynda
