Help needed please to find the parents of Nancy Taylor born approx 1780, possibly in Frodsham Cheshire. Nancy would have been my great great great grandmother. Nancy married John Corker in 1804 Frodsham as found on Pallets marriage index. John Corker was born about 1783 in Frodsham and died 1860.I have traced the above back from my great great grandad Joseph Corker born 1819, died 1894. He married Margaret Hughes born 1825 to 1887. I have the marriage certificate of Joseph/Margaret 4th Dec 1859 which names a John Corker as his father. This has led me back to my initial enquirey for Nancy Taylor. have used family search,FMP and Ancestry for searches but with no luck. Any help would be great Thanks

Says that St Lawrence, Frodsham records have been transcribed by Familysearch and also on to disc by Family History Society of Cheshire.

If you can't find anything relevant on FS, it could be that she was baptised somewhere else. or the relevant Frodsham entry is illegible - damp, mould, smudged etc.

If you aren't familiar with the area, it helps to look at a map to see how close the mentioned villages are.

I was going to suggest looking for Wills, but you normally need the Deceased's name for that. They tend not to include the Heirs name in the index.

How about Memorial Inscriptions or Burial Records in Frodsham for male Taylors' who might 'fit'?
