Looking for two of my ancestors named Docherty

Two years after my grandfather Ernest Alfred Holloway (1881-1940) died, my grandmother Edith Alice Holloway (1885-1958) remarried to James Docherty in 1942.
I do not believe they had children.
But Edith had three children with my grandfather Ernest who are my father Alfred Ernest
Holloway(1907-1965); Jack Holloway (1911-1980); and a daughter Iris Eileen Holloway (1920-1988).
By strange coincidence , Iris also married a Docherty in 1942 named William Docherty. (Both mother and daughter married a Docherty in 1942)?
Other than their marriages; I cannot find any other information on the two Docherty's.
Can you help please?

Iris E Docherty is listed on London Electoral registers 1949 - 1964

Have you applied for the marriage certificates of the Docherty's for more information about them, including their ages?
(Possibly Irish?)
