Its a relative of mines birth certificate and he is down as being her father. Her birth was registered in Edinburgh in 1943 and all I have to go on for him is his name, Robert Storrie and his occupation, being a hotel chef. |

I've got a birth certificate with his name and occupation on and he wasn't married to the child's mother. They went their separate ways not long after the birth. |

Do you have any details of his parent's names. What certificate do you have with his name on it? |

Did he marry ? If so a marriage certificate would provide helpful information. |

Presumably, he was named as the father on a birth cert in the 1940's................but wasn't married to the child's mother |

Thanks for your replies. The surname is definitely Storrie as I have it on a certificate. I'm leaning to him being born in Scotland. :-) |

There is this one but for Scottish births you would need to buy credits for Scotlandspeople website |

Trying to find any information or a relation to Robert Storrie. All I know about him is that he was either born in Scotland or Carlisle around 1900 and was a hotel chef in both Carlisle and Edinburgh in the 1940's. He was possibly in the war too and sustained an injury that lead to him having a metal plate in his head. |
