	English birth certificates give the Mothers maiden name. The best place to purchase certificates is online here........ http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/

Member Since: April 2006 Posts: 102 Send Message	I am looking for the mother of a James Leo Septimus Lowther who was born in in Carlisle in 1898 he died in 1955 Leeds he married Rose Lillian Wood 1918 in Burmantofts, St Agnes and St Stephen, Yorkshire, Looking at the marriage certificate James L S Lowther's father was James Lowther occupation Carter. I need to find James L S Lowther's mother in order to carry on the line. I believe the mother is a Rachel McConnell born Carlisle but not sure. There also is a James Leonard Lowther from west ham London who has nothing to do with this family. Clarence Lowther son of James L S Lowther and Rose Lillian Wood is still living and is sure his Grandfather was born in Carlisle.
