We are trying to find my partner's 3x Gt Grandparents on the 1861 Census. Their names are Brian( possibly Bernard) and Mary Finnigan. The spelling of Finnigan has seemed to vary over time! They were both born in Ireland. They both appear on 1841 and 1851 Census in Abergavenny Monmouthshire. Ancestry .co.uk have transposed their surnames on both Census incorrectly - 1841 as "Jimgan" and 1851 as "Perrigan". To find them on both these Census has taken some time. They both died in1864 within days of each other - again in Abergavenny. We have searched the Census for Abergavenny and tried various searches to no avail. In 1851 they had a grandson Christopher Finnigan living with them - he was then aged 6. He can not be found on 1861 Census either! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Many areas of Monmouthshire(and large areas in England and Wales) in 1861 census are lost. I have ancestors in the area and cannot find them, very frustrating!!
