Thanks for your replies, I wasn't able to find a marriage at all.

If they were married in 1956 is it possible to see if they had children?

No Ewin births show with Scott as the mmn on freebmd, but that could be because the site is an on going project and has only reached the 1950's so far.

However there are no births showing with that combination on FMP either which goes up to 2005/6. This could be because there were no births, Scott was not her maiden name or the births were outside the area covered ie England & Wales and GRO Births abroad from 1966.

The marriage certificate will give their single, or otherwise, status at time of marriage
