Thanks very much for your help, so he was not a 'sir' then, just a name his parents gave him on his birth. Is there any census after 1911 to see who he married and if he had children and occupation etc, or was 1911 the last available to access? Im just trying to tie up some lose ends on our family tree |

you know I think it is them. Ernest had a brother called Victor Wraight 1900, so he could have named his son after his brother, and I did question if he married Florence Richards. Thank you very much! |

Sir Ernest Leonard Wraighte was my grandfather his son Victor Ernest Wraighte was my father and Joyce Florence Wraighte is my aunt. My father was taken in 2010 but my aunt is still alive............Ruth :-) |

Hi Penny thanks for the info it would be interesting to find out as in my grandfathers family there was only my father who would pass the wraighte name down and my grandfather's brother Victor wraighte's son Dennis died and was not married and he had two daughters. No one seems to know what happened to my grandfathers other brother Harry my father was told he had gone abroad.........Ruth :-) |
