I am trying to find the death date for Joseph Nutt born 1737 in Ecclesfield near Sheffield.

He did move to Wadsley in Sheffield in the Parish of Ecclesfield where I believe he died. He was married to Nanny Downing and had a son Joseph born in 1766.

I would appreciate any information please. PopT

It also lists another Joseph Nutt in the same grave 6/3/1840 age 77 could be father and son? and a Sarah 23/10/1840 age 78 and another Joseph and Ann in the next grave

Hi Porkie Pie

Thankyou so much for your detailed posts about the Nutts. I was out of ideas and you solved my problem and I thankyou so much.
My next venture is to find the site of Nutt Hall at Wadsley.
On the 1851 Census William Woolhouse a Saw Grinder was living at Nutt Hall but after that date it is never mentioned again on any other census. Being the same name as the Nutt family it is of interest to find what happened to the place or could have been renamed.

Thanking you again PopT
