As Ann is a new poster, I'll send a friendly message on how to return to her thread.

How can you be sure that the witness at the marriage was the son of Hannah, nee Dodds.

It is not a unique name.............

Hello Ann, if anyone does have Hannah Dodds in their tree they're unlikely to see your post on here as it's really just a minority of members who use the Community Boards.

If you go to Search on the right of the menu above you can then search other people's trees to see if they have her and then make contact with them.

Is Hannah Dodds in your family tree. She was born about 1806 Haydon Bridge, Northumberland and married
23 May 1829 Shotley Northumberland of Bywell, St Peter a Thomas Arkley.

I have a few Dodds in my family tree and her son Thomas Arkey was a witness at the wedding of John Dodds Fisher my great grandfather.
