yet another coincidence is that John Hicks, Mary and Williams first child was born in Limehouse they then moved to Poplar area which is where they stayed for the rest of their married life

Seems to be pointing in the right direction, just seems very strange there are no birth records for either Mary or Charlotte Anthony

I think that there could be a link with the quincy family as William and Mary lived in Hackney in 1861 which is in the area that the Quincys lived.

Hi Mike On her marriage certificate is say her father is James Anthony.

Looks like the cencus could be correct alviegal. fingers crossed.

No flip I am not sure about the 1841 but it is the only thing that can be found so far.

One problem, unless she lied when she wed in Dec.1853 she was "full age" in other words at least 21, so born 1832 or earlier.

Are you sure you have the right 1841 census?
