It looks in your opener here as though you are looking for Thomas Essex b 1922 married Eva Eveleigh in 1914 - impossible! or you missed out that she was born 1914. It affects timescale and what names/dates we are looking for. Thomas Essex' mother was Eveleigh and the Essex/Eveleigh marriage was 1914

Now if you use freebmd as suggested you will be able to find the marriage of her parents as you appear to know that her mmn was Donley - unless you happen to have plumped for an Amy Penfold birth in the "right" area
