Find Ancestors

Hi, I'm trying to go back further but not doing too well.
I have Marshall Gowers born 1747 in East Barsham, Norfolk married to Elizabeth Gowers (Tidgett) born in 1749' ish.

The father of Marshall Gowers above I think is William Marshall Gowers who married Abigail Seeker in East Barsham, Norfolk in 1745.

I am trying to see if I can trace the the Gowers name further back using the freereg.org website but my limited skills aren't helping.

If anyone can help or advise me in how I may be able to go further back I'd be grateful.

this name ring's a bell with me,i am sure I have looked up this person before for someone.
I alway's try to help Norfolk look ups as I am a member of nfhs.
I will look through my thread's.

the thread has gone,i have checked nfhs and the records only give the info that you have.

the name marshall seem's to be a family favourite.
