Yes, that is my William Saunders the convict. If anyone is wanting any information on him after arriving in Australia - I have heaps. It is the English ancestry that I was finding difficult as I am unfamiliar with areas. And the census record is a match as I knew William's father John was a saddler.

I am looking for details for John Saunders possibly born around 1800 in Ross, Hereford. He married Margaret. They had a son William born in 1826 and he was baptised in Ross on 14 April 1826 apparently. William was transported to Australia as a convict in 1847 where he married Margaret Downey. Any clues would be welcome as I have been facing this brickwall for some time.
