Hi, I am looking for the birth registration of a John Scyner born 1843. I have looked on free bmd and ancestry but no luck. I have all other information, marriage, death etc... But stuck on birth. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hello Wendy, there was no penalty on parents before 1874 if they didn't register the births of children so many didn't bother.

Who were his parents and where would the birth have happened?

all Scyner's appear to hail from Birmingham/Warwickshire area

I believe born in birmingham, quite a lot of Scyner history there. I only know fathers name to be Edward.
