Gillian I'm waiting for the 1921 myself lol and also hoping I'll still be here :-)

I too found Davies to be a possible so its great to find you on the same track, Rose. I even found a marriage George Thomas to a Sarah Davies in 1910 in Neath but couldnt find them 1911
Flo apparently married a man called Andrews (Possibly David Richard Andrews) and lived in Tenby but whether she is the same as the Florence Andrewa who died in 1988 Sth Pembrokeshire is another question
Jeans mother apparently died when she (Jean) was "very young" but again that could mean any thing from 3 to 23!
I think you are right I will have to wait intil1821 comes out, if I live that long!

Gillian I think I've been through most of the combinations lol, and eliminated some of the possible mother's maiden names , keep coming back to 'Davies' as a possible, but still no further on with that there are just so many Thomas/Davies in Wales .

I think the only way is going to be to hang on for the 1921 census, even Flo (Florence, Florrie) throws up a lot of possibles. :-(

No Jacky was male and might have been John perhaps
Albert was 24 when married in 1939 therefore born 1914/15 No idea of the age of the other siblings and if I had her birth cert I would not have been sweating blood over this for several weeks!
I do very much appreciate the time and interest you guys have given -any more bright ideas will be welcome
I did wonder if Jean might be her middle name and she was registered as for example Annie J Thomas but nothing popped there

Mike, she says George was a coal miner. Unfortunately there are several in Maesteg 1911, and of course she might have been born elsewhere!

What was father George's occupation on the marriage cert ?

Do you know which of her siblings were born before 1911 ?
How old was Albert when he married ?

Can anyone more clever than I pin down Jean Thomas born (according to death cert) 8/4/1913 in Maesteg Glamorgan according to family memory. She married Maurice Vince in Lewisham in 1939 and I have the marriage cert which gives the fathers name as George Thomas -Coal miner. She died 1/3/1986 Lewisham
She had (again from family memory) siblings Albert, George, Jacky, and Flo and I have Alberts marriage cert 8/9/1939 Paddington which again shows his father as George but no further help
Cant find a mothers maiden surname which links all 4 siblings
