Mollie had 2 daughters and 3 sons at the time she wrote to my mother from Mt Lawley in Perth, Western Australia in 1935. She called herself "cousin" yet I cannot place her in the family.
Does anyone know these people? :-D

Try putting their names in 'search all trees'.......but remember that Slattery would not have been the mother's maiden name

'Mollie' may not have been the woman's given name.............same for 'Peggy', who, presumably, along with Patricia, was her daughter

How in-depth has your research been?

And where was your mother living in 1935?

Do you have the actual street address please? It may then be possible to identify her on the electoral rolls around 1935.

PM from Bernadette confirms that the correct family have been found and she can now confirm that the cousin connection is through Bridget Whelan, Molly's mother.

I'm not sure whether my big thank you got through to everyone this morning.
It looks like you have found the "Mollie" who wrote to my mother at the time of the death of her mother.
The Address on the letter was 45 Chelmsford St and the date was Nov 5th 1939.

I have passed the news onto the finder of the letter - one of my cousins.
Would really like to find a relative one day and pass it onto them???
