Hi Glitter baby -Had looked on familysearch but it wasn't the one I was looking for

The one that Maddie posted appears to be the correct one - mother Margaret
I thought I may have shown her maiden name but at least it confirms his father's name George

thanks to you both

Maddie, is there a date for that marriage? An image of original may be on familysearch - the images have to be browsed through, though.

This is from the Durham Bishops Transcripts on familysearch. The ones I have looked at today for baptisms and burials give MMN for women and addresses and some seem to indicate which number a child was - not too sure about that as the headings are cut off for some pages.

This is the address for the Transcripts:

Sorry for not getting back sooner - had to go out
Thanks everyone for your research results. I 'm certain the one Maddie posted ie George to Margaret ,is the correct one
Thanks Potty for the image and just one thing, if I wanted to wade through the collection on the link you gave, is it possible to schroll further on without doing it page by page ?

thanks again

You can type an image # in the image # box just above image and then hit enter.

So for the marr, you could follow the path:

England, Durham Diocese B...ranscripts, ca. 1700-1900 > Durham > Jarrow with Heworth > 1765-1816 > Image 469 of 571
