Hello,

I am trying to trace the father of George Frederick Wiles b1881 who was married to Edith Elisabeth Sample b1884 in 1907.
George's mother was called Mary born in 1852, Foxhole, Yorkshire and his siblings were Annie, Emma, Thomas, Mary and Edith.
George's mother was a widow at the time of the 1901 census so no father's name was mentioned.
There are 3 possibilities as to Mary's maiden name: Mary Dodson, Mary Atkinson and Mary Whelpton.
Any suggestions?

I would think this is the birth ( only one that fits really), which should give you father's name and mother's maiden name

Where did you get the possible surnames for Mary?

George's marriage cert will give you his father's name and occupation, to confirm any census findings.
