Wills are not available on line - order from here:

http://www.justice.gov.uk/courts/probate/copies-of-grants-wills

Only probate entries are available - this is the one you are looking for:

Albert Howe
Probate Date: 15 Sep 1950
Death Date: 11 Aug 1950
Death Place: Middlesex, England
Registry: London, England

Of 40 Cecil Rd, Wealdstone, died at Mount Vernon Hospital, Ruislip. Admin to Albert William Frederick Howe, storeman.

The Probate entry does say that his effects were valued at £480 14s 11d

but it does not tell you how that money or effects were distributed.

Down load form PA1S from this link

http://hmctscourtfinder.justice.gov.uk/HMCTS/GetForm.do?court_forms_id=739

The fact that it says 'Administration' means that there was NO Will.

Never having order a Letter of Administration, I'm not sure whether the information would be of use for FH purposes

You have to download the form and send it by post with a cheque.

There may only be a probate doc but to be on the safe side there is a tick box for probate or will.

Make sure you tick both boxes otherwise you will only be sent the probate doc.

It is the same £6 for both docs ordered together so I've never understood why one has to tick separately

If you subscribe to Ancestry, click on the image that is to the right of the probate details

When that is open you have a PRINT button to the top right of the screen.

If you do not sub to Ancestry, you will not be able to see the actual image

Heres the link to an open image, can you see it when you click on it?
