Merchant Navy Records

I saw this morning that there are some merchant navy records published on The Genealogist website, does anyone know if these are different to the ones on Find my Past ?

The person I am looking for is

Colin Campbell
Born 1863 Berwick upon Tweed

lived in North Shields and then Stratford/Cable Street East London/Docklands

I know from his sons marriage cert in 1921 that he was a Chief Engineer Merchant Marine

and according to a family member I recently spoke to (daughter of said son) "turned up" in Greenwich on a merchant ship about 1932, after having disappeared (preumably to sea) after his wife died in 1904

I have the Birth Marriage and census records but am trying to track him down after that, seems that because he disappeared, his son did not wish to see him again :-(

Thought it was a bit odd!

Can you list Colin's parents (inc maiden name)/siblings and children, something might come up overseas using this info

Don't suppose you have Colin's full DOB?

He was born Berwick upon Tweed barracks
the marriage quoted above is correct

Sorry, no luck.

He could have died at sea, changed his name or even died overseas
