This thread is linked on the George thread....for ease any responses on either Harry or George would be best put onto the newer thread entitled George Burt |

Myself and my uncle know very little of the child, just that his name is possibly Pat. I do know that my grandfather did not have Pat living with him when he met my nan (bearing in mind Pat mother had died) so can only assume Pat was possibly of age to support himself or he lived with another family member?? I thought that by trying to find Harry's first marriage (before my nan) would help me source info on "Pat". |

Cannot see a marriage to 'Pat' or to anyone with P as a middle initial. |

I now have the death cert for Harry Burt and Norah Fitches and it looks like this is not the marriage I was looking for :( |

You must also consider that his first marriage could have taken place virtually anywhere................ |

Thank you Reggie for your posts......your last one has freaked me out a bit as if it is the same Alice this would imply that she never actually died when my grandfather married my nan!!! I hear this was quite common back then?? I will order the wedding cert and work from there I guess xx |

Who witnessed the 1945 marriage? |

If you buy the marriage certificates they should have his Father's name on them. |
