I BELIEVE MY GREAT GREAT GRANDMOTHER ESTHER HOLLINGSWORTH DIED IN AN ASYLUM NEAR MAIDSTONE IN KENT IN 1916 SHE WAS BURIED IN FARNBOROUGH HOW DO I VERIFY THIS AND IS IT POSSIBLE TO SEE THE RECORDS ?

You'd need the death certificate to confirm which one it is, but as you say near Maidstone, its probably Oakwood Hospital, Barming. There's a lot on the internet about it.

The Centre for Kentish Studies is the most likely place where the records would be. Although they normally impose a 100 year rule, they do use their common sense.
