For what purpose, Maureen?

I was just giving general factual info.................I don't plan on getting involved in this search

OK.sorry.
Don't make me nervous.

Just pointing out that the address given on one baptism and one marriage within the span of 13 or so years gives the same address:
53 Murray Street

Well..I did try to give the 1861 ref as to where it SHOULD be.

There must be a lot of pages missing.
RG9/236/156 only has 49 people and 2 pages 31/32 and does not include the Martins' address.

Thanks again for all your help. I think I've pinned down the two older generations of the Martins now.

William Martin 1809 and William Martin 1847 - I'm certain I have all their children - Now to find out what happened to them all!

A final note on the two William Martins who were both brass finishers.

William Martin, born 1809 to parents Thomas and Jane at Shepherd's Place, Spitalfields, had two brothers, George and Charles, and a sister Jane.

William died at 53 Murray Street in December 1886. His son William, born June 1847 at 16 King Street, died in December 1929 at the North Middlesex Hospital while living at 15 Seaford Road. Both died of chronic bronchitis which, we understand, was an illness caused by their employment

Thanks again to all
