I am looking for info about George King born in Grantham, Lincs in 1863. Family gossip is that he had a twin brother. He married Eliza Cook by licence(from cert) in Middlesbrough in Nov.1890. In 1891 they lived at Rose Cottage, QueensRoad,Richmond, Yorks, where their son George Harold was born , my late father-in-law. We know there was a son Albert and a daughter Lily Mattie. The father vanished about 1900 and nobody has any knowledge of him; The only other fact we have on the marriage cert. his father is named as JOHN KING, a stockbroker/ Does anyone has any facts relating to this family as I have come up against a brick wall/ If you can I will be so grateful. THANK YOU. |

If he had a middle name, then this may be a birth for him? |

Not George, but Eliza:- |

If the birth record posted by Catherine is the corrrect one, then the other birth at the same time is presumably the twin brother? |

No, that birth of George Thomas King may not be the correct one: |

Can this be Eliza and children in 1901 - with a husband named Edward? Edward's occupation looks something like Manager for Jewellery Trade. |

Thank you for the info. We know Eliza Cook/Lee did in fact live in Disraeli St. Blyth and had several other Blyth addresses before her death living in Waterloo Road. My sister-in-law, who is 91 remembers her well. We understood she did marry Mr Lee but can only find a reference to it in Tynemouth in 1911 but no evidence of any divorce or disolvement of the original marriage and I am told my late father-in-law would never talk about his family life growing up.
