Is this them in 1841?
If so, census night was 6 Jun 1841. Where is their 4mth old son?

I'm sorry, I've not had any luck either. Don't know of a place in Ayrshire of that name. :-( :-(

And I see this is where you got his place and date of birth.

London, England, Poor Law and Board of Guardian Records, 1430-1930
Parish or Poor Law Union: St Pancras
Borough: Camden
Register Name: Settlement and Relief, 1878
Record Type: Settlement Papers
Year Range: 1878

Looks like West Ferry, Ayrshire.

I also see you haven't had much luck in finding his birthplace on other forums.

Hi Patricia, could you please post a census that you have him on? What is his father's name and occupation and do you have more information on him?
Did he marry at all?

Looking for information on the above, particularly his birth. I have a dob as 10 Feb 1841, this comes from a statement from his father and various census. I have birth place as West Fery? Ayrshire, Would be very keen to locate birth place, this is possibly an old place name and no longer exists :-)
