You could take a look in 'search all trees', to determine whether any other GR member is researching the family.................

I am trying to trace the Brand Family from around the Spalding area of Lincolnshire.

My Great Grandfather John Brand was born in Whaplode Drove 1868 before heading to Manchester which is my origin.

Been quite successful however I have come to a sticky patch around 1700's although we have some unverified links going back to Christopher Brand 1613 and beyond.

Samuel was a common Christian name over many generations.

If anybody has any information that would be fantastic. I would love to find out exactly where the family may have originated as numerous Christian names are Spanish origin but naturally may well be off the mark.
