I am trying to help a friend find any children of Charles JENKINS and his wife Ellen (nee BAINES), whose marriage was registered in Chelmsford, Essex, in J-S 1916. With no census records available I don't know how to tackle this problem most efficiently. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,
Kind regards
Victor

go to freebmd

http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl

enter both surnames ( no Christian names )
choose a time frame and click births

EDIT
should have said... this only works after 1911 ( before that the mother's maiden name doesn't show )

Have you checked that Baines was her maiden name and not a previous married name ?

You're welcome.

In case there are more than one Jenkins/Baines marriages, you might want to check the birth certificates to see if correct parents.
