could some one please check on a marriage for. l think l have the wrong surname for the husband of Ada Mercy Collins. We always thought his surname was Wing, but l now think its wrong.
She was married in Newbury Berkshire 1944.
I would be very grateful if some one could find out the truth of what his name was.

only one I can see for above details is married to a George Jones

You'll need to buy the marriage cert to get factual info

Put freebmd in your favourites............use it for all BMD searches between 1837 and approx 1955-60

Why was it thought that her married name was Wing?

Have you considered the possibility of more than one marriage?
