The other four children were born in Ireland -Bridget 1863. - Margaret 1868. - Ellen 1869. - Johanna 1875. all baptised in Thurles Tipperary.

Heather....The following were born Oswaldthistle Reg Preston mmn Ryan..are these the children of Pat and Ally you are referring to...?

Heather, you did also say "I know they had four other children but do not know what happened to them" so we presumed you also wanted help with that, hence my question.

Also, the birth years for Patrick and Alice on the 1881 are inconsistent with what you posted so it would have been useful if you'd mentioned that you knew they were wrong on the census.

Thankyou but I am aware of all the births etc as I have the official records from North Tipperary Genealogy & Heritages Services, I just wanted to know if anyone had info on the family coming to England. Or help in how to find it.

Katherine Horan was the DAUGHTER of Patrick Finn not his wife. She lived in the same house and was married to Robert Horan.

Heather, you say you know they had 4 other children - was that before or after they came to England? If it was the latter, can you give us details?

Catherine/Katherine's age a bit out but is this her in 1891? the fact the children were born in Preston where she was in 1881 seems to tie in.

Hello Heather, unfortunately there are no travel records between Ireland and England.

Where were they on the 1881?

My ancestors Patrick Finn b 1835 and his wife Alice (Ally) Ryan b1838 came to England from Tipperary sometime after 1875 and before 1881 I cannot find a trace of them with their children between this time I have them on the 1881 census with their children Catherine Mary John & Patrick I know they had four other children but do not know what happened to them. Any help in finding out when they came over would be a great help, or any info on the other four children.
