Use freebmd to look for possible children for Griggs/Robson
It would seem that there were 7.........3 in the north-east, and 4 in Cambs
They are too recent to post on here..............
3 members have at least one of them in GR trees
Of those three, one also has Loretta in his tree.
If you send a contact message, delete GR's text, and put in your own.........preferably not actually stating the 'link' until such time as you have had a chance to 'test the water', as it were.

I bet this is her birth registration ...... with yet another misspelling!
Births Dec 1910 (>99%)
ROBSON Larette L Gateshead 10a 1003
I looked at the original, the GRO INdex to birth registrations, and it is typed as Larette L .................. so is not a mistranscription by the modern-day transcriber, but goes back to the GRO Index in 1910/1911.
You could order this birth certificate, using EXACTLY the same spelling as shown above, and I'm betting it will be the correct one.
In case you did not know, order all bmd certificates only from GRO (web address below) .............. the cost will be £9.25, including postage and handling.
It is the official Government site, most other sites charge much more.
GRO = General Register Office

Two Public Family Trees on ancestry have the following.
However ........... neither of them are showing any back up documentation, but it may be worth trying to trace through
Loretta Lilias ROBSON Birth 2 NOV 1910 in Gateshead, Durham, England Death 25 FEB 1989 in Ely, Cambridgeshire, England
Marriage to Horace Robert GRIGGS 1931 24 Dec — Age: 21 Registry Office, Gateshead, Durham, England
IF true, these are shown as her parents ............
Parents
William Worley ROBSON 1867 – 1953 Sarah NEEVE 1868 –
Again , if true ............ this looks to be her family in 1911, with a very bad mistranscription of her name!
1911 Census
Name: William Worley Robson Age in 1911: 44 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1867 Relation to Head: Head Gender: Male Birth Place: Gateshead, Durham, England Civil Parish: Gateshead County/Island: Durham Country: England Street Address: 2 Chatsworth Parede Low Fell Gateshead Marital Status: Married Occupation: Bicplayer <<<<< Bricklayer (House Builder) Registration District: Gateshead Registration District Number: 557 Sub-registration District: Gateshead ED, institution, or vessel: 80 Piece: 30490

It IS Lorette Lilias on the image
and Clarinec is Clarence
I will send in Alternate Name Reports. (done!)

when researching marriages around WW1, it is important to remember that many marriages, especially for women, were second marriages.

Thank you so much for your information, I will pursue this further. It further adds to the mystery (and possible scandal though! ;-) ). I had not been able to receive this amount of information on Albert George Gibson, so I thank you.
Another ingredient into this interesting mix - the general registry office has not been able to find a birth certificate on Mary Elizabeth Gibson who in 1918 married Thomas Peckitt and are the parents of June's spouse Robert Henry Peckitt. Because of the similarity of surnames between Robert's Spouse Doreen June Robson's alleged father Albert Gibson and Robert's own mother Mary Elizabeth, we are trying to find out if Albert and Mary are related as well. As it is important to my step-daughters to determine their maternal heritage, I am trying to unmuddy the waters as much as possible -not to create embarrassment - but an explanation as to their grandmother's story and why certain things are as they are.
So I hope I do NOT create upset to anyone who may be connected to this story . If some-one wishes to contact me privately on this matter please do so.
Again thank you for the information already offered _ I really appreciate it. kind regards Christine Hopkins
